Drain - Plus

A drain solution DESIGNED for HVAC condensate lines!

Welcome to the official site for
Drain-Plus

Text Box: Patent No. 5,797,426

Drain-Plus was specifically designed for

HVAC draw-through systems.

Text Box: A drain seal is required on negative-pressure (draw through) HVAC systems to ensure proper operation. Without the drain seal, the drain line sucks in outside air and impedes or prevents condensate flow.
Whenever an HVAC system is not providing cooling for a few weeks, no moisture is being removed from the air. This means there is no continuous supply of water to the P-trap and the trap becomes “dry”. This effectively removes the drain seal that is critically important to negative pressure HVAC systems.
What causes “dry-trap” syndrome?
Condensate evaporation
Condensate leakage

The negative pressure in a typical HVAC system exceeds the depth of the drain pan. This prevents condensate to flow in a dry trap and pan over flow occurs. The result is commonly seen in flooded floors and Text Box: “Dry-Trap” Syndrome

The rubber o-ring and ball form a seal on the condensate line anytime the unit is running.

The removable cap allows for easy cleaning and inspection of the condensate line.

Patent No. 5,797,426

Instead of the standard P-trap installation, Drain-Plus is installed at the end of the condensate line on the main and auxiliary drains.

The unique design of Drain-Plus allows it to maintain a drain seal whether condensate is present or not.

By sealing the condensate line, no outside contaminates can be sucked into the system.  Since the condensate line is not under any negative pressure, water is able to flow unimpeded.

Drain-Plus completely eliminates any “dry-trap” syndrome conditions or effects.
